What about 39-year-olds who are just really grumpy? ;)
I think this is a good play. I spoke to a guy the other day who runs 'white-label' dating sites, and apparently the older agegroups are the second most active after people in their early 20s.

I think it has a good chance of success, even if a few grumpy snarky 39-year-olds sneak in. ;)
Genrally speaking, I'd say that for the next 2 years, well-thought out vertical social networking sites will have more success in the marketplace than those trying to compete with the likes of MySpace, Bebo and Facebook.
Not only can they create very targeted offers for adverisers (that make it easy for even non-digital marketers to understand why they're advertising on a social networking site), but if they're successful, they could get bought by one of the bigger players.
